How to Set the NEXUS/UltraNEXUS IP Address

You can set the IP address, subnet mask and gateway address from the front panel of the NEXUS and UltraNEXUS units. Here is how to do that.

To Set the IP addresses for the NEXUS/UltraNEXUS: (see page 77 in manual)
  1. On the front of the unit, press the right arrow button. It will ask for a password.
  2. Press the right arrow 5 times – that is the default password.
    1. This will bring you to a “Config Menu” screen.
  3. Press the down button until the screen says “Edit IP Address”.
  4. Follow these steps to change the address:
    1. Press the right arrow button – this will display the address.
    2. Use the up or down buttons to change the numbers.
    3. Use the right button to move to the next number section.
    4. Once all four number sections are set and you are at the last number section, push the right button 2 times to confirm.
    5. Then the display will go back to the Config Menu.
  5. At the Config Menu press the down button until the screen says “Edit Subnet Mask”
    1. Follow steps 4a through 4e to set the subnet mask.
  6. At the Config Menu press the down button until the screen says “Edit Gateway”
    1. Follow steps 4a through 4e to set the gateway.
  7. Reboot the NEXUS to apply the changes.
    1. Press and hold the up and down arrow buttons together for 2 seconds to reboot (warm reset) the NEXUS.
    2. When the date and time comes on the front display the NEXUS is ready.
  8. You'll need to add the NEW IP address into the WinLGX Site Manager. 
    1. Click the Add button in the lower left corner of the Site Manager window. Then add the IP address and enter your user name and password and click the Find button.
    2. Once it finds the IP, click OK. Then click the Connect button in the Site Manager window. You may have to select the IP address in the Site Manager window to make the connect button active.
