507 Error When Logging in to UltraNEXUS-HD

The 507 error message indicates the username or password is not recognized. Here are some things to try to resolve the error.

  • Confirm you are using the correct username and password. Both are case-sensitive.
  • Try using the default username and password, which are “admin” (all lowercase) for the username and the last six characters of the unit’s serial number for the password (all letters will be uppercase). You can find the serial number on a sticker on the back of the unit or press the up arrow button on the front panel until the serial number is displayed.
  • Try using passive FTP:
    1. Go to the Tools menu and select Preferences.
    2. Under the Application tab, check the box that says Use Passive FTP. Click OK at the bottom of the window.
    3. Close WinLGX and reopen; try to log in again.
  • Try restarting the computer.
  • Try rebooting the UltraNEXUS-HD unit.
  • Try turning the UltraNEXUS-HD power off using the switch on the back of it. Wait for 10 minutes, then turn the power back on.

If none of the above options work:

  • If you have forgotten the username and password, you’ll need to contact LEIGHTRONIX Support to reset the unit; fees may apply.
  • If you have the correct username and password, there may be issues with the UltraNEXUS-HD unit that require repairs, such as a failing internal hard drive or internal corruption. You will need to contact LEIGHTRONIX Support if the unit is out of warranty; fees may apply.
