Cannot Upload or Add to the UltraNEXUS-HD Library

If adding to the library fails or WinLGX closes when you try to add to the library, here are some things to try.

  • Make sure the filename does not have a space in the name.
  • Make sure the Library folder and Resource View box are showing on the right.
    • If not go to the View menu and select Reset Views.
  • Try Passive FTP

    1. Go to the Tools menu at the top of WinLGX.
    2. Select Preferences.
    3. Check the box, Use Passive FTP.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Close and reopen WinLGX.
  • Make sure WinLGX is up to date - the current version is 7.0.3.48.
  • Ensure the firmware is up to date - the current version is 21.07.29.
  • Try restarting the computer.
  • Try rebooting the UltraNEXUS-HD.
  • Make sure the Internal storage of the UltraNEXUS-HD is not full.
    • You can check on the Dashboard page of the web interface (from WinLGX, go to Tools/Web interface).
    • Some videos may have been uploaded using an external FTP program to the FTP root directory rather than the MPEG directory. This can fill the SD card (as shown by WebNEXUS Dashboard Internal drive bar being full and red) and prevent new additions to the Library database. You'll need to delete the misplaced files in the FTP program.
    • See the Knowledge Base article covering Full Internal Storage.
  • Make sure WinLGX 7 is allowed through the Windows Firewall.
  • Try uninstalling and reinstalling WinLGX.
  • It could be that the schedule file is corrupt. Test this by creating a new schedule (File/New) for testing purposes and see if you can add it to the library in the new schedule.
