Internal Storage Full on UltraNEXUS-HD

If the internal storage of your UltraNEXUS-HD server is full, here are some possible causes and solutions.

You can check the internal storage location's size from the Dashboard page of the UltraNEXUS-HD's web interface.

Video Files Transferred to the Wrong Storage Location

  • Video files may have been mistakenly transferred to the root level of the UltraNEXUS-HD either by misdirecting an IncodeX Vier, LABvault-HD, or another FTP transfer.
  • The video files need to be in the MPEG folder of the Vol1 or the MPEG folder of another connected storage drive.
  • You'll need to FTP into the UltraNEXUS-HD and remove the files from the root level.
  • Any video files on the root level don't belong there.

NOTE: The following are only possible with the old firmware. You'll need to correct the issue first before updating the firmware.

Old Large CCLOG

Older firmware used a CCLOG when working with closed caption data. This log could have gotten too large and is taking up space on the internal storage.

  • Check the LOGS page of the UltraNEXUS-HD's web interface. There will be a load error on the LOGS page.
  • You should be able to delete the CCLOG file from the LOGS page.
    • Select the CCLOG file and click Delete in the menu below the list of log files.
  • This issue was corrected in firmware after 18.04.09. When your firmware is updated to the latest firmware, you should not experience this issue again.

Excessive Twitter Media Files

It could be excessive leftover Twitter media files.

  • To clear these files out, FTP in and go to; data/twitter/media
  • There may be many files there – they are data parts from Twitter used to create the Twitter slides.
  • Delete those files, then firmware update. Deleting those files will not affect your Twitter slides.
  • This issue was corrected in firmware after version 19.03.08. When your firmware is updated to the latest firmware, you should not experience this issue again.

Video Info Database Corruption

Full internal storage could be due to the Video Info database becoming too large due to a misnamed video file.

  • If a video file has an "&" or other symbols in the file name, it could cause the database to overflow and become bloated.
  • Check the Video Info page of the UltraNEXUS-HD's web interface. If the Video Info page fails to load or throws errors when it loads, this could be the reason.
    • This will need to be repaired by LEIGHTRONIX tech support. It's due to not updating firmware and violating file naming rules.
  • This issue was corrected in firmware after version 19.03.08. When your firmware is updated to the latest firmware, you should not experience this issue again.
