Scheduling a Recording with the UltraNEXUS-HD Series Servers

Automate a recording by scheduling it in the WinLGX software. This applies to UltraNEXUS-HD, UltraNEXUS-HD X2, X5, Flex, and Blade servers.

Below are the steps to schedule a recording or to "Go Live" with an event. 

Scheduling a Recording:

  1. Select the Sch Rec tab on the left side of the schedule grid and the desired day tab at the bottom of the grid.
  2. From the Devices folder on the right, drag and drop the Video Recorder Device resource and drop it in the schedule grid.
    1. The properties window will open.
    2. Make sure the Lock check box in the upper left is checked.
  3. If you have an external switcher, set the input field to the input you wish to record.
  4. Type the desired filename in the Video Filename field and the desired length in the Length field.
  5. Type in the desired event starting time in the Time field
  6. Check the Add to Library check box in the lower left.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Now send the schedule to the UltraNEXUS-HD to activate (File/Send).

Scheduling a Recording and Going Live:

  1. Schedule the Recording
    1. Select the Sch Rec tab on the left side of the schedule grid and the desired day tab at the bottom of the grid.
    2. From the Devices folder on the right, drag and drop the Video Recorder Device resource and drop it in the schedule grid.
    3. The properties window will open. Make sure the Lock check box in the upper left is checked.
    4. If you have an external switcher, set the input field to the input you wish to record.
    5. Type the desired filename in the Video Filename field and the desired length in the Length field.
    6. Type in the desired event starting time in the Time field, check the Add to Library check box in the lower left, and click OK.
  2. Schedule the Input Switch
    1. If you have an external switcher, to schedule a switch to the live input, select the Output tab in the upper left of the schedule grid.
    2. Drag and drop the Input switch device from the Devices folder on the right side for the live input. The property window will open.
    3. Make sure the Lock check box in the upper left is checked.
    4. Under the Event, Start/Time field, set the start time.
    5. Under the Length field, set it to the desired length.
    6. Click OK.
  3. Schedule the Playback
    1. If you don't have an external switcher to schedule the playback of the recording, select the Output tab in the upper left of the schedule grid.
    2. From the Library folder on the right side, drag and drop the Library resource that was just created into the schedule. The property window will open.
    3. Make sure the Lock check box in the upper left is checked.
    4. Under the Event, Start/Time field, set the start time for a minimum of twenty seconds after the recording start time.
    5. Click OK.
  4. Now send the schedule to the UltraNEXUS-HD to activate (File/Send).
